The exhibition is based on archives belonging to the Ministry of Transport and illustrates the lives and times of Belgian seamen during the First World War. Through a joint operation with the non-profit organisation "Les Amis du Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace" the visitor can also discover what happened in the skies.

On januari the 2nd, 3rd and 4th the documentationcenter will be open from 8.30 till 12.00 and from 13.00 till 16.00.

The documents will be delivered on the following hours: 9.00, 10.00, 11.00, 13.30, 14.15 and 15.15.

On May 31, 2018 the War Heritage Institute (site Royal Military Museum) will welcome an information session about the “70 years UDHR” campaign by the Association pour les Nations unies. This campaign is realized in collaboration with the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and the Commission of the French-speaking community.   

The meeting will take place in the Military Museum’s arcade gallery between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; the arcade will therefore be closed to the public. We thank you for your understanding.
