14-18 Gallery
After the cycle of temporary exhibitions “Reflections on/of the Great War” the Royal Military Museum prepares a new permanent exhibition on 14-18.
Until May 19, 2013 the 14-18 Gallery and the temporary exhibition “Monumentum” remain accessible. The gallery will then close for a year. During that time visitors can discover the other treasures and collections of the Jubilee Park or visit the remote sites.
In August 2014 the Great War collection, a worldwide reference, will be presented in an updated and modernised gallery. The visitor will be able to grasp essential issues through a presentation both thematic and chronological. The new scenography will include occupied Belgium, the part played by Albert I and the life of civilians. Numerous audio-visual testimonies will illustrate this tragic era.

A bubble for the RMM
Last summer museum collaborators discovered moths had invaded the textile collections on display. These insects can cause a lot of damage and therefore have to be eradicated immediately, in order to safeguard the rest of the collection.
