ICOMAM 2009 SYMPOSIUM
Venue: Royal Armouries Museum Leeds, England  See below for details on how to get there. Dates: 25 – 28 October 2009 Theme: Weapons and Warfare in Renaissance Europe 1400-1700(Note: as normal, time will also be allocated for papers on new research and matters of general museological interest)
Costs: Delegate’s fee: £220 Accompanying persons fee: £110(to include welcome reception, final dinner, visit to York and other specially arranged visits) Hotel rates: Local hotels range from £68 - £100 per night for a single room. A list of hotels is available, click here.  Programme:

• Pre-symposium: optional at own cost visit to London to see the magnificent Royal Armouries exhibition in the Tower of London Henry VIII: Dressed to Kill.
  
• Sunday, 25 October – evening welcome reception in Royal Armouries
  
• Monday, 26 October – formal symposium sessions
  
• Tuesday, 27 October – visit to the museums and fortifications of York
  
• Wednesday, 28 October – formal symposium sessions, plenary session, final dinner
  
• Post-symposium: optional tour of northern or Welsh castles
