The next ICOMAM congress will take place in Oman. It will start on October 6th and close on October 10th, 2012. The main conference venue will be in the campus of the University of Nizwa at Birkat Al Mauz. The campus is only a few hundred meters from the Bait ar Rudaydah Historic Small Arms Centre of Excellence
The conference will be followed by a post-conference tour from 11 to 13 October.
The general theme of the conference will be: Military heritage in Omand and the Middle-East and the relationship with the outside wold.

A special edition on Oman of our Magazine was published at the end of October. The special edition is an initiative of Oman’s Tourism Ministry and ICOMAM. It gives fresh insights to the museums, forts and castles in Muscat and the Al Batinah and Dhofar regions, and commentary on a wide range of cultural and historical subjects.
