Interpretation and expertise centre for artillery - Gunfire Brasschaat
The cradle of Belgian artillery
A new interpretation and expertise centre for artillery linked to the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History: GUNFIRE. On the site of the oldest shooting range, wich also was the cradle of our artillery, everything focuses on Belgian artillery.
Large modern hangars house a large array of field, air and trench artillery used by the Belgian army from 1830 onwards. The heritage of disbanded unit is also preserved here.
Light aviation (airborne artillery observation) is present as well. Guided tours (upon reservation) show the diversity of amoured vehicles and highlight the history of Belgian artillery.
